Bathing In Cold Water was all recorded live(2 songs contain overdubs) in Copenhagen, recorded and mixed by Lars Heiberg Andersen and mastered at Kasablanka Mastering. It features an all star cast of musicians from Copenhagen. The album represents Richard and his band in a live and a studio setting, raw, groovy, charismatic and most of all, real!
Featured on the album are Lars Emil Riis Madsen (Sahra Da Silva, We Go Where We Go, Hogo Fogo), Spencer Gross(Twang, We Go Where We Go, Something at Play) and Lars Heiberg Andersen(Trainman Blues, All My Exes, Space Dudes).

The Story
Irish singer and songwriter Richard Farrell released his EP, Violet Fire in the Spring of 2023. The EP will be followed by his 2nd album, Bathing In Cold Water. This will be his 2nd solo album since his debut album, Light at Sea in 2012. The album has a folk, blues and jazz foundation spiced with lots of soul.
Richard has been walking the path of music, playing extensively in Ireland until his departure to Denmark in 2015. Since then he has won 3 Danish Music Awards for Blues with his other project Trainman Blues. Richard has been writing, recording and singing for musicians and producers from all around the world under his own name and under the moniker, J Fitz. He has released songs through Universal Music and had highly successful releases with his collaborations,some tracks have streams over 2 million on Youtube and Spotify.
